These light pannels have served me great. i dont know if they really cover a 5 by 5 growing area adequately like they claim.
The plants under these seem to grow just a fast as plants under sun light in my 3 by 3 grow area. the only difference is that with these the plants grow shorter with dense foilage. they dont seem to be reaching out twords the light as much. I grew the most bushy tomato plant i have ever seen. i could barley reach through it to get the tomatoes out.
The only reason why i give these 3 of 5 is they are fragile. i had to reaturn 50% of the ones i bought due shipping damage. thankfully i have never droped one yet but i have a feeling they wouldnt last.

I really like the fact that you can clip the light at the back of your book and that it gives a lot of light. BUT, the battery cabin broke off really fast, while I didn’t do anything strange or put a lot of pressure on it… So you’ve to be really careful with it!
I needed a night light to read without bothering others so I tried this one. But I thought the light was too weak and the arm didn’t bend enough. I had to return it.
This is my fourth or fifth book light purchase. All before Spike Light were either complete junk or just not quite sufficient. But finally, the Spike Light is what I thought a good book light should be. The elongated light covers both pages at once, very important, with sufficient light to read in the dark. The metal neck is long enough to allow adjustment. The way the light attaches to a book is good, but I haven’t tried it on a paperback yet — it might not work as well as on a hard cover. Another reviewer stated there were no directions on the packaging as to how to open the battery comparment. Someone, possibly the same person, said they broke the light trying to open the battery compartment. I did find the instructions on the packaging telling how to open the battery compartment. It truly was slightly tricky to open but, without using force, I was able to get it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this light.
This price is right and it works great — flexible neck is useful and the light quality does not glare. It has run for many nights of reading on the one battery. My only concern is that the plastic clip with eventually give out but otherwise very happy.
Simply put, if this magnifier breaks, I will buy the SAME product again! Works great and is easy to use.
So convenient and small. I love the LED light! I have one at work and several at home. Highly recommended!
Since getting lens implants following cataract removal, I’ve thrown away the glasses I’d worn all my life. Don’t even need readers. However, really fine work, especially in limited light, is a challenge. I saw a similar magnifier in use and purchased this item after an Amazon search. Just what the doctor ordered. Sliding it open lights the bright LED light, closing it turns the light off; couldn’t be simpler. Optics are clear. I only wish that the lens were protected when closed to prevent dust from accumulating and the inevitable scratches that will occur if this is carried around. Nice product, fair price.
What I liked was the quality of the lens and the built in light. Then lens had no discernable distortion anywhere. It magnified everything evenly without the ripples and distortion that I’ve seen with other low cost magnifiers. This light is a nice touch and easy to use. If you want it on just pull the lens out a bit. It is focused very close to the center of what you will be look at and provides nice, even coverage.
What I didn’t like was the brightness (actually dimmness) of the light and where it is focused. LEDs can be lots brighter, I know as I’ve seen them. Also, the light focuses at the center of you field of view but only when the lens is too close to be focused properly.
Bottom line is this is a good value for a magnifier and could have been made great with better quality control.
